ARB Tree Protector

A tree protector creates a wide, low-damage anchor around a suitable tree while giving the winch rigging a clean connection point. The broad webbing spreads load over a much larger area than wrapping winch rope or a narrow strap directly around the trunk.

Choose the anchor carefully: healthy tree, solid root structure, and enough diameter for the expected pull. Wrap low, keep the strap flat and connect the ends with properly rated hardware. Responsible recovery means getting the truck out without destroying the thing that got you out.
