Brake-fluid temperature is easy to ignore until the pedal starts changing. A high-boiling glycol brake fluid adds margin during repeated hard stops, mountain descents, track use or heavy towing where ordinary street fluid can absorb enough heat to boil locally in the caliper.

Freshness matters as much as the label. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air, so its wet boiling performance drops with time. Use a sealed bottle, flush the system properly and follow a service interval appropriate to how hard the vehicle works.
