Rugged Ridge Heavy Duty Tri-Fold Recovery Shovel

A compact shovel may be the highest-return recovery tool in the truck. Clearing packed snow, sand or mud from in front of a tire reduces the load before you ask traction boards, a strap or a winch to do anything. A folding design is easier to carry without giving up the ability to shape a real ramp.

We use the shovel first more often than people expect. Ten minutes of digging can turn a hard recovery into an easy drive-out and keeps unnecessary loads out of every other component. It is simple gear, but simple gear is often what gets you home.
