Superwinch Getaway Recovery Kit (Incl. Bow Shackles/Tree Trunk Protec/Recovery Strap/Gloves/Bag)

A rated bow shackle is still one of the most useful connectors in a recovery kit. The wider bow gives straps and tree protectors more room to sit naturally than a narrow D-shackle, while the screw pin makes the connection quick to assemble and inspect.

Use it on proper hard recovery points and keep the pin clean enough to thread by hand. Do not substitute a hardware-store shackle with an unknown rating. When the recovery line is loaded, every connector becomes stored-energy hardware; this is not the place to save twenty dollars.
